Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. The university is renowned for her pioneering the science of eyewitness memory in children and using child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous papers and grants to her name and is the recipient of numerous international and national prizes. She has consulted with numerous organizations and government officials across the world on policies and research concerning children who are victims of the justice system. She currently acts as a advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has been a member of numerous professional organizations, such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
