She performed on that stage every year until she reached the age of 12, when she won the competition that enabled her to perform on the festival's big stage. In 2010, she travelled to Orlando, Florida to participate in the American Model and Talent Competition. She beat 1,500 contestants to take the title. Alaina was part of the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association Children's Choir. Alaina first went to Nashville when she was 12 years old. The singer performed at Tootsie's as well as other bars along Broadway. Alaina won the WinniSTAR competition for young talent in 2009 at Lake Winnepesaukah.
